Sustainable Urban Horticulture and Agriculture Handbook

Information about Dropping a Course

If you wish to drop a course, please complete the Drop Form and fax it to the Centre for Open Learning and Educational Support. If you do not have access to a fax machine, please email or telephone the Sustainable Urban Horticulture or Agriculture Program Manager, indicating your intention to drop a course. Immediately confirm this by mailing the Drop Form to the Centre for Open Learning and Educational Support. This Drop Form must be received for your request to be processed.

A full refund will be issued provided the Centre for Open Learning and Educational Support receives a completed Drop Form 30 calendar days or more prior to the course start date.

A refund less a $75.00 administration fee will be issued provided the Centre for Open Learning and Educational Support receives a completed Drop Form at least 29 calendar days or less prior to the course start date or up to the Friday of the second week of the course. Your course materials and original income tax receipt must be returned to the Office of Open Learning for the refund to be issued.

No refunds will be issued after the second week of the course.

Courses must be dropped by the 40th class day to avoid academic penalty. Failure to take part in a course does not constitute notification of withdrawal and will result in forfeiture of the entire course fee. Courses dropped by the 40th class day are removed from your transcript and there is no record of drop activity. If you do not officially drop a course, it will appear as an (F) fail on your grade report and transcript and it will affect your grade average.
